After a 3 month search to find the best oolong tea, our specialists tried over 10 different Oolong Teas. Trained in how to smell, prepare, and taste tea, our specialists, found what they believe to be the best Oolong Teas.
First, we need to know what Oolong Tea is. Oolong tea as Wikipedia defines it "is a traditional Chinese Tea of fine quality that is bruised and browned to its desired amount. It is then fired similiar to a black tea however more attention to timing and temperature like you would for a green tea."
To make sure we tasted all 10 different Oolong Teas the same way, our specialists preciscely measured two teaspoons of oolong per cup, prepared with 200 to 205 °F (93 to 96 °C) water (not boiling) and steeped 3–10 minutes. What's great about Oolong is that high quality oolong can be steeped several times from the same leaves and improves with rebrewing.
